3 Sources for my first major writing assignment.

3 Academic Sources
Source #1: http://proxy.lib.uiowa.edu/login?url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=afh&AN=125089080

My first source is an article from an academic journal called "American Secondary Education". The writer of the article is also the editor for this academic journal. The genre of this source would be Secondary Education. The article talks about secondary education, the way students are taught in America and students reactions to the way they are taught. I could use this source as a way to add some credibility to my paper, and as a way to explain how high schoolers are taught.

Source #2: http://proxy.lib.uiowa.edu/login?url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=afh&AN=76119137

My second source is an article from the academic journal "History Teacher". This article talks about how a certain history subject is taught by giving a detailed lesson plan. The genre of this source would probably be secondary education and history. It gives useful insight into how some high school history classes are set up. I could use this article to analyze a typical high school history lesson plan.

Source #3: http://proxy.lib.uiowa.edu/login?url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=afh&AN=24563364

My third source is another study or article from the academic journal "History Teacher". The author uses a study of twenty high school history teachers within the article. The study allows the author to conclude what would be the best way to teach history to high schoolers. The article would be under an education and history genre because it is an article that describes teaching practices. I could use this article to further elaborate what a good secondary educator does in order to teach history.

What major writing assignment #1 is asking me to do.

In this assignment it is required for me to interview a notable professional in my desired field of study. This project is similar to an essay I wrote before because that essay also required me to use an interview as a source. In addition to the interview, I have to read and analyze six writings in my chosen profession. The writings must be split up into 3 academic and 3 non-academic writings. The assignment then wants me to write a synthesized Analytical Report using the writings and interview as evidence. Overall, Assignment 1 is just like the research papers I did in high school. This is similar to the research papers because I have to essentially do some research in my desired field of study. In the past I have done research similar to this.

Questions:
1. How long should the interview be?
2.  Does the interview have to be face to face or can it be over a phone call?
3.  Who Is my audience?
